I drove past Susanne the other day while she was on the way back to work from lunch at 4 pm. When I called her she said she had something to do for work outside the fence. But I think she was lying.

I hope I have saved you from spending any of your hard-earned money to see this movie. I was not impressed. Having been laid off several times in the last three years I have not so much sympathy with extremely rich people losing their jobs once in a while, and then magically getting a new, equally rich person-making job. Best line in the movie is “take that job, you’re a $#!**y carpenter.”
This comic was originally going to be used as the first one in a new strip I was percolating called ‘Velocity Adjustment Screw’ that was all about paintball and the crazy people who do it. And it may yet appear in that cartoon, but I needed an idea and here we are. Adding Jim and his punchline was the perfect ending, which I did not have for the original.
PS – Velocity Adjustment Screw is copyright and trademark me, now.
Yes ladies and gentlemanz, I made a disc-golf basket in two shots. Which was the first time I ever did that. I’m going to have to stop pretending that I suck at disc golf I guess.
Well it looks like my current job (and comic fodder provider) is coming to an end near the end of July, so it’s back to the job market AGAIN. If anyone needs a truck-driving cartoonist please let me know…
Okay, old truck broke, the rental company brought me a new one. Since driving one is much like piloting the Titanic I decided to rip off James Cameron. Also, welcome Michael and Josh, my super-supervisor and my supervisor, respectively.
I never truly intended to publish e9m (or TSOALR for that matter) so i drew the comic originals on my computer machine at 72 dpi, which is not suitable for printing. I experimented with Adobe Illustrator drawling for a while but had become so accustomed to the technique I use in Photoshop that I went back to it and started drawling each comic at 300 dpi, and then shrinking them to 72 dpi for web publishing. So very soon (on or about comic 400) I shall have 100 high-res comics for print publishing. And then there will be a book. Suitable for reading.
