When there is no hockey on I watch a lot of Military Channel. But once you know everything there is to know about Hitler or his bodyguard the constant repetition of shows concerning such subjects gets a little old. I am enjoying Great Tank Battles (wed nite at 10), but just like every computer-generated action show they use a lot of scene repeats and flipped video so they only have to actually render half the show. I mean come on, when you have a vehicle with asymetric features and you reverse those features PEOPLE ARE GOING TO NOTICE. Well, people like me who notice those sort of things are.

I drawled last week this in anticipation of catching whatever stomach demon infested my wife at that time, but so far this had not come to pass. So we think it was food poisoning. Good for me! Not so much for her.
Wade should not make such comments, for I can hit what I aim at when I am very very close. I own a hat very similar to the one pictured above and I was wearing it when we went golfing that day. It was -30 when we started. And Jim, you’re welcome.
Larry bought me a pack of frisbee golf discs and a bag to carry them for my birthday. He is awesome. For now… Wade got me a new disc from a guy we played frisbee golf with. He too is awesome. Jim did not get me anything, technically following directions to not get me anything. So, awesome…maybe?
One of my favorite movies, and the best (and lowest budget) of the Star Trek films.
I’ve always wondered though… In the climactic scene Kirk rushes the “Mains” room to try to rescue the near-death Spock. (I assume here that most people know that Spock dies in this movie. If not, totally sorry.) Scottie and Bones grab him, along with this other guy that appears from nowhere, grabs Kirk low about the waist (presumably to avoid blocking the camera) and then, when Kirk calms down, this guy lets him go and fades away. We never see his face but he takes up a good chunk of screen with the back of his head. He’s a discordant note in an otherwise totally awesome scene. I figure he must be a friend of the director that got a “part” but no lines or face time, just proximity to Capt. Kirk’s groin. I hope he got paid as well…
This has been one of my favorite E9Ms to date and it coincidentally appears on my birthday. it was scheduled for last Wednesday but the emergency Superb Owl comic pushed it to here. Don’t worry about getting me any gifts. Except you Larry…
Hey kids, the site will be updated, THIS I SWEAR! When it does there may be an outage or two (or 10, considering my level of webmastery) so if the site goes down I will post comics over at Turn Signals (tsoalr.com) for your uninterrupted comic enjoyment. I will keep you posted as to when this update will occur but I wanted to give y’all a heads up beforehand.
The game was actually pretty good and the team i was rooting for won so it was a good Superb Owl for me. Not enough cheerleaders though.
If you did not catch the super bonus comic last Friday just go ‘back’ one and there it will be. Also, more comics THIS Friday as well. I am a comicing fool!
Complain all you like! You’ll never stop the idea that a stream-of-consciousness cartoon, delivered free at least once a week will, eventually, entertain SOMEone.
Yes it is true, I once again find myself unemployed. Contract Ending + No New Contract = Me Off Work. I hate this kind of math. On a more positive note this should, theoretically, mean more time for comics, which i plan to take advantage of and try to A. update this site to at least include some ads, and B draw more of these than one per week. Of course if i get paying work that will have to take precedent, so the extra bonus comic schedule may be somewhat haphazard. Check back here for updates, but I will try to at least warn you when I’m doing extra content for your enjoyment. (Good odds that there will be a comic on Friday…)
